Despite the negative outlook on the real estate market from some in the national media, the situation in North Texas shows strong promise. Whether you’re a buyer, seller or agent, there are lots of opportunities right now.

Yes, housing prices declined in recent years but to a lesser degree than in most other major markets. National media outlets look at national averages when they report on depressed housing prices, but those averages simply don’t bear as much relevance for us in the DFW area. What many don’t realize is that prior to the housing crisis, values in the North Texas market were not nearly as inflated as those in other parts of the country. So the impact of falling prices has had less of an impact on our local market. Couple that fact with a stronger job market than many other parts of the country, and you’ll find that the current real estate situation in North Texas offers a number of opportunities for knowledgeable consumers.
